About Me

I hold my Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) from Elam, PGDip Museum Studies (Distinction) from Massey, NZ Certificate in Project Management – Level 4 from Ucol and have volunteered at Waikato University helping care for the University art collection since January 2019.My volunteer work has seen me handling varying collections at Aratoi in Masterton and Auckland War Memorial Museum. However, it was with the University of Waikato that I was able to curate my first exhibition “Kotahitanga” in honour of Kiingitanga Day in 2020.I currently manage RAMP Gallery in Kirikiriroa and was previously the Project Manager at Arataki Systems. Arataki is a Māori tech company of many talents that aims to further the collectives goals of Māori and New Zealanders alike through connectivity, connections, and supporting mutual understanding by sharing stories and experiences.I have also been creative director at Te Reo Wainene o Tua since its inception in 2010.

Born and bred in Kirikiriroa, Aotearoa I have a deep passion for arts, culture, and heritage. I am currently working on smaller whakapapa projects within my whānau and producing a new body of work to compliment my piece Rangiaho, which was accepted as a finalist in the first inaugural Kiingi Tuheitia Portraiture Award.
